Tube Settler System

Brentwood - Tube Settler System can be used in both drinking water and wastewater applications as an inexpensive method of upgrading new and existing treatment plant clarifiers and sedimentation basins to improve performance and reduce the solids loading on downstream filters. Additional applications include: ballasted flocculation, membrane and desalination pretreatment, resin recovery, secondary and tertiary wastewater clarification, and phosphorous removal. Tube settlers handle application rates from 1.5 to 4.5 gallons per minute per square foot. Design application rates should be verified in accordance with local design standards and selected with consideration of influent water chemistry, floc settleability, and basin hydraulics.

Rectangular Clarifier – Envirex® Chain & Scraper

Evoqua - Rectangular Clarifier - Envirex® Chain & Scraper system provides maximum sludge concentrations and floating solid removal. The system is comprised of light-weight components, which makes installation easy and simplifies maintenance.  Flights mounted on two parallel strands of metallic or non-metallic chain scrape the settled solids along the tank floor to sludge hoppers. On the return run, the flights can skim the surface and concentrate the floating material at a scum removal device.

Magnetite Ballasted Biological System – BioMag (Retrofit Existing or New)

Evoqua BioMag - Ballasted biological process to allow WWTP to handle 3x flow and solids loadings, and to operate at longer sludge ages to achieve enhanced nutrient removal, without physically adding tankage to the plant. Magnetite is a dense, non-abrasive, iron oxide mined locally in Missouri  that can be recovered magnetically from the waste activated sludge and reused in the process to maintain an extremely dense, fast settling biomass. Results in a plant with small footprint, low capital, and low operational costs. Easy to incorporate in any type of activated sludge treatment where biological process remains unchanged and BioMag equipment is located in the sidestream location (WAS stream) without impacting main liquid stream in the WWTP.  Ability to with multi-stage treatment processes, to meet TN to ≤ 3.0 mg/L and TP to ≤ 0.2 mg/L without tertiary filters

Evoqua  - Oxidation Ditch is a modified activated sludge biological treatment process that utilizes long solids retention times (SRTs) to remove biodegradable organics. Orbal® system with a Concentric Loop™ configuration that creates dedicated zones for specific treatment processes. These treatment zones operate in series which is essential to the simultaneous nitrification-denitrification (SND) process. VLR® Vertical Loop Reactors system are similar to oxidation ditches that have been flipped on their sides. The VertiCel® System utilizes tanks in series design and consists of an aerated-anoxic tank followed by an aerobic tank. Aqua Aerobic Systems - MixAir is a biological system that allows a single aeration basin to be used since its aeration and mixing is accessible above the water surface. Cyclically operated aeration and mixing promote anoxic/aerobic and anaerobic environments with low energy consumption without having separate anoxic/anaerobic tanks and mixers to provide a 3 Stage Bardenpho-type process. The system features "Retrievable Diffusers" in racks that can be lifted by a davit crane and rotated outside the basin or other aeration devices. Sanitaire - Xylem - Fine Bubble Xeramic Disc Diffusers feature an advanced design takes the proven technology of ceramic fine-bubble diffusers and makes it better, with the highest oxygen transfer efficiency compared to other ceramic diffusers – and energy cost savings of up to 30%. Aeration Industries - Aire-O2 Aspirator  This surface aerator creates a vacuum drawing air down the shaft into the water.  The rotating propeller forces water outward horizontally past the end of the shaft at high velocity.  Above the water line, atmospheric air is drawn through intake ports and travels through the hollow drive shaft to be dispersed in a large plume throughout the water. Being diffused into fine bubbles – about 2.0 mm diameter – the oxygen has extended contact time with the water. The size of the plume varies with the size of the aspirator/aerator which can be from two to 100 HP. Properly positioned, these units can create a “flow linkage” that delivers mixing and oxygen dispersion evenly and thoroughly throughout an entire basin regardless of its size or shape. Dead spots are eliminated.

Traveling Bridge Filtration – AquaDiamond

Aqua Aerobics AquaDiamond Cloth Media Filter is a unique combination of two proven technologies; traveling bridge and cloth media filters resulting in up to 3x the flow capacity of a traveling bridge filter, making it ideal for sand filter retrofits. The cloth media is completely submerged during filtration where solids are deposited on the outside of the cloth as the influent wastewater flows through the media. The filtered effluent is collected inside the diamond lateral and flows by gravity on to discharge. The filtration process requires no moving parts. Increased headloss due to the deposited solids automatically initiates periodic backwashing. During backwash, a pump provides suction to the backwash shoes, which make direct contact with the media, allowing solids to be vacuumed from the cloth as the platform traverses the length of the diamond laterals. The platform operates only during backwashing and solids collection.
