Pressure Filter – Multimedia, Greensand and Activated Carbon

Peerless Pressure Filter is a Michigan based water treatment company since 1935 with pressure filters for removing turbidity, iron, chlorine, suspended solids, and organic matters, unfavorable tastes and odor from water supplies. Peerless multi-media filters, activated carbon filters, and iron media filters are all designed to provide superior filtration performance. Iron Media Filters (Greensand) are combined with chemical treatment to remove iron, turbidity, manganese, suspended solids, and arsenic  including both dissolved and suspended iron.  They are able to be used for continuous or intermittent regeneration. Activated Carbon Filters remove chlorine, organics, and taste and odor. ASME Tanks, vertical, horizontal, with isolated cell construction are available.

RO – Reverse Osmosis

Peerless RO - Reverse Osmosis for removal of nitrates, dissolved organics, dissolved organics, sulfate, uranium and hardness. RO uses a semi-permeable membrane to separate and remove dissolved solids, organics, pyrogens, submicron collodial matter, viruses, and bacteria from water. The process is called "Reverse" Osmosis since it requires pressure to force pure water across a membrane, leaving the impurities behind. Reverse Osmosis is capable of removing 95 - 99% of the total dissolved solids (TDS) and 99% of all bacteria, thus providing safe, pure water. Applications include surface water, ground water (under influence) and water reuse.

Ion Exchange – Multi-bed regeneration, low waste

Envirogen - Ion Exchange designated by the EPA  as a "Best Available Technology" for the removal of arsenic from drinking water. Process  removes ionic compounds by employing the greater affinity that a particular ion has for the resin than for remaining in solution.  The result is "capture" of the ion on the resin. When the capacity of the resin is reached, the resin is "exhausted" and must be regenerated.  Envirogen's proprietary multi-bed system configuration can be sequenced in and out of service automatically using our proven process control software to produce very low waste rates while meeting a wide range of volume requirements.

This modular Aqua UltraFiltration system offers two distinct advantages - the membrane fibers do not break, and no air scouring is required. Ideal for retrofit with membranes with "fiber breakages". Installations include Butler-Missouri to replace Hydranautics membranes plagued with broken fibers.
