AquaSBR – Aqua Aerobics

Aqua Aerobic Systems AquaSBR® Sequencing Batch Reactor provides true batch reactor technology with all phases of treatment accomplished in a single reactor. All components are easily accessible and the advanced decant system ensures optimum quality effluent withdrawal. Independent aeration and mixing provides lower energy consumption. Time-managed operation offers process flexibility with greater handling of hydraulic fluctuations. Floating decanter provides subsurface withdrawal of decant volume. Local installations include Richmond, Missouri and Abilene, Kansas.

The Richmond, MO AquaSBR was constructed in 2014 at the South Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Olsson Associates designed the plant and used a “Pre-Procurement” to evaluate and select the equipment. The project was originally planned to be a conventional plant but changed the process to a SBR to stay within the City’s budget while meeting MDNR’s treatment requirements.  Click here for the Richmond open house news article.

City of Richmond, MO upgrades Wastewater Treatment Plant with Flygt and Aqua-Aerobic Systems products

The City of Richmond, Missouri showcased their updated North and South Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP) at an Open House and Facility Tour held May 30, 2015. These updates were undertaken to comply with the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNA) requirements and EPA disinfection standards.  They also addressed specific concerns related to the inflow and infiltration of storm water into wastewater.JCI provided equipment for these upgrades, including Flygt submersible pumps needed in the North and South WWTPs. as well as the Aqua Aerobic Systems Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) for the South WWTP.  This project addressed several long-term solutions for the community.  JCI wishes to thank the City of Richmond for the opportunity to help them stay up-to-date with today’s strict water and wastewater standards.
